Went by my credit union today looking for some Blue Ridge quarters. Seems they are hard to find here in the capital city of NC. I was told they no longer order new state quarters like they did in the past but one teller said she took a bunch in the other day that someone wanted to cash in. I suspect it was maybe a dealer who bought some at the coming out in Asheville in June and couldn't sell them for $15 a roll at the coin club convention that same weekend. She went back and got me 10 rolls. I have gone through 5 so far and am really kind of anxious to get your opinions. I have found a lot with a huge what I guess is a die break and blob. Then what appears to be a doubling above the top leaf with and without the blob and then a possible DD on the side of the leaf. I have several pictures to post for you to look at. I can say my eyes are going batty after the first 5 rolls but I am heading back to the CU soon to see if she has anymore in the back that I can buy. Some of the pics have white arrows until I figured out how to make them black to see them easier. There is also one that is labeled NORMAL so you can compare the leaves I am interested in.
One more pic. The normal picture has the side circled but it also of course shows the top of the leaves where I am seeing the doubling with and without what I guess is a huge die break on the side. These are ALL DIFFERENT coins in the pictures, not pictures of the same coin. I have a huge stack of the die breaks and a good stack of what I perceive as the doubling also.
I see a nice die break in most of your images, as for the doubling, I'm no expert, but what I was told by an error expert the doubling for the reverse side has to be around the center of the reverse . But I'm no expert by far .. Lets see who shows, I already started a thread about another area on theses coins ...
