Image stamped on $20 bills

    I found two of the $20 notes I got the other day both had this image stamped on them.
    Any ideas about what they might be or refer to?

    There is a type of Russian Gull called a Vega. That is apparently what your picture depicts. There are several companies that have the word Vega associated with them in one way or another but none that I could find use a logo like that.

    It is the modern equivalent of a chopmark. It is applied by a merchant to show the note is genuine.
