Not one that you own, more so one that you'd only DREAM of owning...

My favorite coin is the 1901-S Barber Quarter.

I collect 20th century coins, mostly by type, but especially by key date. The 01-S is the key of all keys, the toughest of all regular issue 20th century coins!!!

This is not to say that if I could be sure that they exist, that a 1964-D Peace Dollar wouldn't be my favorite, but for purposes of this thread, let's stick to coins one can legally own, please.

Owning a 1901-S Quarter would be pretty cool. I've got the 1901-O :)

My dream coin would have to be the 1856 Flying Eagle.

The 1990 small 1 Rand coin from South Africa is one coin I am missing from my collection. It,like the very common 1990 large 1 Rand commemorates the late P.W. Botha, who had retired as State President of South Africa in late 1989.It is a very scarce coin.

If I am going ot dream, I am going to dream big. I an uncirculated 1926-S. - THIS - would fit well in my set.

I'm confused. Aren't there lots of coins made in 1926 at the S mint? What denomination are you refering to? Or do you just want all 1926S coins?

Everyone probably has a favorite coin. Although I wonder how many people keep the same favorite coin for a long time or for ever? With me it's just all Mercury Dimes. I do hate the fact that they are so small though. Wish they were as big as the half dollar. I sure would like a complete set of Mercury Dimes in MS condition. Getting close but there are few I'll never be able to find or afford in that set.

my favorite 'coin' would be one of the earlier modern commems... there are several that i need to fill holes with, but they get pricey so they will have to wait some :)

There are so many. I guess if I could only pick one it would be a 1873-CC NO ARROWS Quarter, Of course in MS 68 Raw, No plastic!

The dime in this year is also nice.

High relief, or Ultra high relief? :D

I personally prefer the high relief, and would love one day to own one.

All the way, baby ! Give it ALL to me :thumb: I want the ULTRA

Of course, if I'm willing to settle for a High Relief, it's not totally unthinkable I could actually own one someday.

That's a nice 2 Mohurs,Ballabh. Is it the 1835,or is it the 1840 issue? Be very careful,as this coin was also restruck at the Bombay Mint as well.

A BU Franklin half dollar. When I was a kid my grandfather gave me one whenever i saw him. Its not the coin really, its the great memories associated with it.
