That 69 has a lot going on looks like a rpd,and plenty of broken letters on the reverse . And what's up with the last s in states?

I don't buy off eBay very often, but when I do, I prefer Dos Equis.

Nice ones Alan . I know this is the wrong place ,but when I bid from an e-mail url at CoinZip , I keep getting an error . It says you'll be notified . But when I looked again today it didn't have any bids yet and I got the same error notice after I hit confirm .

The 1869 really interest me as from your images and my references it seems to maybe be a new variety . First let's examine the strike slightly off center. You can see that it's off center both on the obv. as well as the rev.>3-4°
Next the date some of the numbers have the look of a narrow date but it is not the tall or narrow date. The 1 shows signs of a repunch north, and the 869 looks to have been repunched to the S-SW. The berries look dis formed, more like globs of medal then formed berries. The arrow heads don't touch the shield and are not notched.
The letters of IGWT for the most part are well formed some doubling MD on Trust.
Now for the reverse holds more mystery as you will notice the broken letters the N in United and a broken serif on the E also in united. The first S in states is also broken. The last S is off and lower than the rest of the lettering . The center 5 shows signs of MD.
Now the stars, the star's placement shows that the reverse is the the reverse hub of llc star points to
below the left base of the A in States
below the right foot of the E in States
Below the left of the upright of the F in Of
Below the right side of the upright of the R in America.
Now the first S in States is broken and slightly double along the left side.
Reverse hub llc is found to have both solid and broken letters. It's found on some 1869 nickels, all 1870-1883 nickels. Some 1868 nickels are said to exist with this hub but have not been confirmed .
Now 1868 dates with the reverses of 1868 have broken letters on 4 of the 5 reverses.
This 69 however has two items on its reverse that makes me believe it's a new variety . The broken serif on the E, and the last S in states .
That last S looks to have slid to the SE .

From the images of the 1872 looks to be an FS-05-1872-304 (007.76) Fletcher -03.01 an R-7 A repunched date secondary digits are evident N of the primary 7 & 2.
Another pup is the shape and style of the two. A thinner shaped 2 that is not filled as other 2 ' s in the 1872 shield dates.
