Yes they "shot" all the way up to $110 or so but if you check recent completed auctions they're now averaging in the $80's and the trend is down. BTW, I'm talking raw.
I'll tell you, these anti modern trolls jump on anything, twisting & turning the facts in an attempt to prove their ill conceived reality. They're wrong so often, you'd think they'd go away, instead they keep coming back, like a cancer.
Statistically insignificant based on the range they're trading in, up to over $100, down to a little under $100, especially with flippers who need the money flooding the market. Like I said, 5 years and we'll talk. And, try using facts, $80 is one low in the last 10 sold, not an average, most were $90 to $100.
Just out of curiosity, where do you put the value of the proof dollar commem right now, dollarwise? Raw.
And of course I could come back with something like: These modern coin dealers jump on anything, twisting and turning the facts in an attempt to try and prop up prices. You do sell these in a shop if I recall?
It's worth something, haven't looked at it because raw sets are selling for less than the two raw dimes.
Of course, I like to give my customers value. All of these type of sets issued over the last 20 years have done very well. That's a fact, not made up troll garbage.
Here, let me help you:http://www.ebay.com/itm/2015W-proof...052?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5676ff76dcYou paid more than 10 bucks for the dimes.
I've provided links to everything I've posted. What's this garbage you speak of? BTW, I do buy some moderns myself. I liked the design of the Marshalls commems for example, I bought them. I'm not trying to pick on you SQG, I just try to give a realistic collectors point of view on modern issues. I do follow them closely. I like to think I know what's going with them.
Then you must know the price of the silver dollar means nothing, it will be high mintage for a commem, so most likely a low value. The dimes are and will be the winners
Potential? ... getting close to issue price. It may only take months not yrs to trade below issued price. http://www.ebay.com/itm/191627270693?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
