That one looks like a barbaric imitation of Magnentius/Decentius from Lugdunum. The one who made it into a pendant probably did not consider wearing it directly on the skin because of the rashes that would ensue from it oxidizing.
And speaking of bad Poemenius, this one must be one of the worst still identifiable coins of his, which is a shame because it has the scarcer rosette diadem head dress rather than the usual pearl diadem. AE21mm 4.65g
here are a couple of ugly, somewhat scare coins i picked up recently. they were only about 7.50 USD each and i pretty much just picked them up for the fun of attributing them. these turds don't deserve their own thread, so i thought i would resurrect seths thread for them. If you hold it just right, you can see the faint shape of the distinctive domed temple on the reverse. I might see if I can get it to photograph later, but at the moment at least, you'll have to take my word for it. Volusian Reigned AD 251-253 AE Sestertius O:IMP CAE C VIB VOLVSIANO AVG, laureate bust right R: IVNONI MARTIALI SC, Juno seated facing in domed distyle temple
Some worn, yet desirable (to my eye at least) Octavian dupondius. I would prefer the Caesar/Octavian one, but what the heck, I've got that one.... Octavian, Dupondius Minted in Italy 38 BC DIVI F, bare head of Octavian right DIVOS IVLIVS, in a laurel wreath 27.07 gr Ref : HCRI # 309, RCV # 1570 Q
