hello I am in need of urgent help!

I have been offered a fair sum for my coin but I have no idea of its worth, and his offer is only valid for another 11 hours!

Its an 1808 Napoleon coin, believed to be a 1 franc as its 23mm long and 1mm thick. Its a turin mint(heart shape) and has a U next to it.
It states around the coin Dieu Protege La France followed by a star symbol.

Its in near identical to this coin in both the coin itself and the condition(tho the words on mine are more visable)and mine is 1808!

Any ideas??Im saving to go see my girlfriend and really need all the help I can get in terms of money!

Thankyou very much for your time.

If it's in better condition that the example with the link, and if you can get good money for the coin and really miss your loved one, then go-for-it. :) If you'd prefer to think about it that's OKay as well because the coin is always going to be valuable. Sounds like the prospective buyer is trying to put pressure on you.

    Good Luck

In that condition the coin is worth about $120.

It's pretty easy if you have a Krause catalog, all you have to do is look it up. I also checked some auction results.

Collector value of a coin depends on date, mint mark, number minted and condition of a coin, including amount of wear, any dents, scratches or cleaning as well as collector demand for it.
If you can find a similar piece for comparison, on Ebay.com for instance, then that may be the best idea of its value.

No, 99% of Ebay vendors don't know how much something is worth, because they base it on other Ebay vendors' prices, who are also basing it, etc....until you get to the ignoramus who started the chain.

The piece is likely worth more on a European market.
Value is only the price someone will pay for it. Whether that is Ebay or somewhere else. If you have other suggestions for a reliable venue to check for comparison pricing by all means inform us.
