The store can refuse to accept currency they consider "defaced" - it's the whole oft-repeated "Legal [to] Tender" discussion. Yep Yep. There are reportedly tellers and banks that will pull any currency with any marks. Those bills get sent into the Fed whereupon they are scanned and only truly defaced bills are pulled. It just takes longer to get back into circulation. The definition of defaced is whatever our Robot Overlord deems it to be.
I am not sure how that would be different as I am sure they are all alike did get a hit on a $20 after my last post, I think the $20 is your best bet as I think thats what most people use especially coming out of the teller went dont to Huntington Beach which is about 4 hours from me, brought about $300 with me and distributed that at gas stations, tips , target restaurants etc, haven't had any of those come back yet, kind of surprised by that.
The following bill was originally started off just a few days after Wheresgeorge launched in December 1998: https://www.wheresgeorge.com/b:Xbz62uMv. This is a record "sleeper" for sure. Twenty-four years. Wow! And on a small-face twenty.
since I mostly use my AMEX, I really dont carry much cash, tried to run several thru the ATM and they get rejected, but who I do go out of town try and bring a few dollars with me
