Can you get pics with more light on the coin ? Not flash. Coins are very dark to see needed details. Might be a O-111 ( OBV. 7 Rev. I )
I think these new pics still look like the O-111 in the 5th edition of the Don Parsley book. And on Bust Half Addict's website. >> http://www.busthalfaddict.com/ What is on the NGC label ? AU-58 ?
Yes letter to edge not rated. It was my first post I will get more information next time I post. Thanks again
I sent a PM to Dave at Bust Half Addict's website to view your thread for his opinion on the Overton number. It may take a few days till he sees it. Ps: Welcome John I see you just joined today. What other coins do you collect ?
It is, indeed, O-111. The faint die line connecting the olive branch to the C is diagnostic. One interesting fact about the 1836-111...it was the very last die marriage produced on the screw press before the changeover to the steam press stamped 1836 reeded edge type.
Dave from Bust Half Addict's website PM'd me back "Thanks McBlzr! I think the O-111 is correct. Looks like a nice coin to boot! Best Dave "
