Stone Mountain Half

    Stone Mountain Half 1925

    This is one of my few commemorative Halves. It is a bit too white for me but does have an old skin. I have always loved the Eagle on these.

    That eagle does look pretty cool. He/she appears ready to take off and attach anyone who's trying to squelch freedom.

    Thats one of the few classic commemorative half dollars that I have also, It is a really nice designed coins, better than the Columbus half dollars that seem to be all over the place or the newer commemorative half dollars that they made so many of.

    a beautiful coin indeed. Commems are down in popularity these days, but they are an awesome set to collect.

    I love these Stone Mountains! Another classic commem I love is the Pilgrim. Those silky fields in the sky and ocean are just fantastic metallic sculpture for me!

    The eagle on the Stone Mtn is gorgeous, and I like the eagle (somewhat surprisingly) on the '83 Olympic, too. Oh, and that on the Connecticut - that art-deco Eagle is gorgeous!
