I acquired this coin because I knew that German commemorative coins are expensive. Upon returning home, I found out that it was too much more than expected. It's from the Weimar Republic, 3 ReichsMark. Could you please assist me to guess the grade of this valuable coin, so that I can estimate the approximate value? Thanks a lot guys.
    The coin weighs 14.87 g. 3Mark R.jpg 3Mark O.jpg

Thanks ff02. But I clicked and received the answer that this webpage is not available. All I need is to guess the grade.

7-C, I just clicked on the link and it works ok at 7:56 PM EST

It shows a photo of a 'Matte Proof' (1928D)-----but I doubt yours is a 'proof'..... it also lists a coin like yours in VF-20 grade and a XF-40 grade worth 600.00 and $900.00 respectively....

I'd call that VF from what I can see, it may be a little better or worse in hand.

It's very hard to grade a coin from a scanned image. Scanners completely rob the coin's luster which is a detail that cannot be left out or ignored.

Definitely VF grade. I would say maybe VF25 or 30. Because its not lustrous in your photograph doesn't mean it may be evidence either way. Too lustrous could mean it also has been cleaned. Any hairlines? Any cartwheeling at all? No luster could be it's been dipped. It's very free of build up from circulation for a normal VF coin, especially because of all the wear. I would guess it has been cleaned. Did you buy this from a local German source or off of eBay?

I appreciate your concern. I bought it from a shop along with 3 other coins. I knew that this one( the German) was the more valuable among them. Maybe I need to send photographs.
