For the coin club token collector and mMardi Gras doubloons!

 

I like those tokens, Circus. I have a huge collection of numismatic-related exonumia, but not any in conjunction with Mardi Gras tokens. I'll have to keep an eye out for a set.

I was at motel in this town outside New Orleans. Only thing I remember well is The water in showers was Brown almost plus was a GSA approved.

 

Got's a 3 1/2" Doolittle mint medal arriving in the next few days. I'll post it when it gets here. What a remarkable group of fellows........

Here is a strange one that was in the bulk swap.


About the size of a standard tool check or quarter. Looks to be heavily blackened brass, with hand stamped letters and numbers, non magnetic and the thickness of a quarter. Have no idea what it is supposed to be. Or why somebody would fake it?
Any ideas?

 

Confederate exonumia is rare and valuable, Circus. Maybe someone thought they could fake it and make a few bucks. Can you tell what it's stamped on?
