I'm not much of a variety guy, but here is one from my type set. Looks like maybe a re-punched 8?

 

working coin in its day. Its been in my type set a very long time.

 

1841 O V-1 Open date,well placed the last 1 low
Lowest left star not low or close. Rev. Small o to left of center,medium lettering
