I recently purchased a group lot of Kushan coins and have been able to ID all of them except this one. Anyone want to give it a shot? I'm leaning towards it not being Kushan but it is a bit outside of my comfort zone. Weight: 4.1g Diameter: 18mm
Not Kushan but Hunnic, from a series referred to as "Alchon-Nezak crossover". The history is complicated but is believed to involve the late 6th-century return of the Alchon Huns from India to the Kabul region, ruled in their absence by the Nezak Huns.
