How important light is Fotograph

    hello coin friends,

    How important (daylight), is and i like it:happy:
    All the details are far beter.

    Photo one with no ligh:

    Photo two with light (daylight lamp)

    Yes, much better. I use sunlight itself - take the camera and copy stand outside.

    Do you use just the sunlight, or do you have 1 or 2 lights with the sunlight?

    This one is beter in the hand, i could'nt not photograph it. I find out with (sun light lamp) l get it beter
    Now i can see al the details on the dress.\
    thats why i read it is beter in the hand they cannot get the details on the (photo)

    I'm using mostly incandescent light. I shine it from different angles and sometimes bounce the light to get the effect I want. The other thing I use is clay. I can manipulate the angle of the coin to the light much like holding the coin and turning it to get the best use of light.

    I'm not sure if this will help you or not, but a very important setting on my digital Olympus Fe camera is the brightness setting:

    I generally have mine set anywhere from -1.3 to -2

    Just sunlight, and angling the coin till I get a good pic. I had a set-up of LED's, but it proved to be redundant.
