    Howdy folks

I recently purachased this coin on eBay , couldn't tell a lot from the listing photos .. So I took the sellers word on the coin , it arrived a few days ago and in my opinion looks a bit better than the grade .
I've got a few other AU55 barber dimes In ngc and pcgs holders, this coin has quit a bit more luster .. I believe this one may be au58 , what do you guys think ?

Can't say from your pics. Sometimes the cutoff between a nice 55 and a true 58 is just the amount of luster remaining, and I can't really see what the luster is like in those pics.

Either way, it looks like the detail is all there, and I see some nice, original-looking surfaces.

  8. The reverse is a solid 58 to me. Not sure about the obverse though. It could be lighting impacting it. Nice coin overall. TC

Nice coin , could make 58 but really can't see if there's any minor circ hits in the fields or devices . Also can't see the luster from the pics .

It tough to get decent photos with my phone, a lot of the luster on the obverse is under the toning ..
Only thing I see on the surface is a small area in front of Liberty's face with a few hairline, there very hard to see even under a 10x loop..

Just a tip , 10X loupes are only good for varieties and for looking at small areas . For grading it's best to use your eyes and at the most a 3-5X loupe .
