Got this one from a PCGS board member, need this date for my set. It's in a very old small ANACS holder graded AU-55. This date is a bit tougher to find than some of the others too.
Thanks Kentucky...need to read the book more. And that is why "proof" coins, in general, are worth so much more?
I'm not that good at this stuff, I have just done it a long time, but "proof" refers to a method of manufacture. Proof coins are made specially from cleaned planchets on presses that strike slower and with more force than the usual presses. I think that pressure is applied more than once. Now I gotta go back and read in my Red Book!
