A fellow sold me 4 pesos recently for under $3.00. One of them was this 1976 doubled die (almost certain it is a doubled die, instead of a double stamp). I have not seen one before, nor are they listed in Wiles etc. Anyone else seen any of these? Most all of the legends are doubled and the date, most of the profile is also, as is the mint mark.
The "Z" in "Diez" gives it away the most that it is Doubled Die. Notice the split serif, you won't get that with MD.
