What do you think NGC graded this coin?

This does not belong to me. image.jpg image.jpg

I don't believe that the coin looks anything like those photos but it looks very clean, MS63.

I went with 65 because I'm thinking the coin is better than the image.
Luster is important. The image makes it look as if there is no luster or it's PL.
I would not buy it just from the images.

First, Is it a straight grade or a problem coin? Hard to tell from the photo.

It was graded at 61. Is it under graded? These are NGC photos

I feel like NGC net grades to 61 sometimes on classic coins that look like 62/63s but have the appearance of just a touch of wear, provided they don't think the coin was really circulated.

@Jaelus, I'm not sure what they think, but another possibility is they net grade it to 61 because of "cabinet wear" or what I would call non-circulation wear.

Yea that's what I'm talking about. They net grade technical 58s with good eye appeal and very light - just the slightest touch - of non-circulation wear to 61. I've only seen them do this though for say pre-1892.
