I am making a list of possible numismatic awards (really just wanted a list for myself but if some new numismatists comes and is looking for them I think they would not appreciate scrolling through pages looking at them so I will just add them to the thread). Book Awards. I believe the Numismatic Bibliomania Society (NBS) http://www.coinbooks.org as does the ANA.
The NLG site has a link to their awards http://www.coinbooks.org/about/awards.html. For some reason, the ANA site doesn't work (right now).
These awards are not the result of contests that one can "enter" to win. Numismatic authors merely do what they do - write the books and articles, give lectures, hold seminars, hold classes, etc etc - and then the winners of the awards are chosen from among all writers and authors for the quality of their work by the various organizations giving out the awards.
However, here is a plaque: "Maurice M Gould Memorial Award for Best Non-Numismatic publication column" regarding numismatic discussions. Sorry for the blurry photo
