Coin Comparisson, US -- SWISS

    For some reason the (Standing *Helvetia, 1875-1900, obverse) Swiss Franc, KM#24, has always looked like a Seated Liberty Quarter (obverse) to me. Here is an example for your review. :)

    *Actually the name of a Celtic tribe from the country of Switzerland before it was a country. ;)

    Basic obverse design is similar, and the reverse of the swiss coin resembles many old US coins. What's it made out of? I'm guessing silver.

    Ben,the Latin name 'Helvetia' is derived from the Helvetii,who were the original inhabitants of what is now Switzerland.

    How dare you say that about the French. :)
    Yeah I know where you are coming from but I was referring more to adolph weinman walking liberty design and the French Sower design.
