Had a client on the other side of the counter. The man had some coins in his hand and was paying for his purchase with the exact change. I see a old dime in there and he tells me he must of got it in change someplace that day. I tell him about the coin pretty common and worth a buck and half or so. He tells me give him a buck and tosses me the coin. No home run by any means but cool diversion for ones day. Well worn traveler kinda wonder were its been all this time.
Cool. I found a 1963 silver dime in the Coinstar return yesterday. Somehow these are still out there.
The last time I found a silver dime in circulation was about 8 years ago. I did find a war nickel a couple years ago, though.
I have only found three Mercury dimes while roll searching. I have found many silver roosies though. I found 16 in one roll once. I would sell your coin for $3 plus the cost of a stamp.
