I won this auction on Ebay...
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...MEWN:IT&viewitem=&item=150109036097&rd=1&rd=1

I bid on this set because in the items picture it showed a web-press note as being included... but it didnt mention the note in the description. (and yes i sent the seler an email asking to make sure it was included lol) I do think i got the set for less then it would have sold if the seller asdvertised the web-press note as being included...

here my problem ... its a full district set - 12 notes... the Boston (A) district is the web-press note.. the other 11 districts are normal notes.... I just cant find myself keeping the web-press note included in with the other notes, because its just not a complete set that way ... so, i plan to take the web-press note out of the set and put it in with my other 1988 web-press notes... but my delima --- Now i need to find a 1988-a (non web-press) to complete my set of crisp Unc district set .... Ebay doesnt have them .....

Aidan will probably suggest i try the coins2.com site :D But aside from that ... anyone have ideas??? I just need the 1988-A 'A' district in crisp UNC condition ....

If I were looking for an item that specific, I would gather all the numismatic publications I could and check the ads for currency dealers. If none of them were advertising the item I would send an email inquiry to every dealer with an email address in their ad. Those with phone numbers, but no email address would get a call, and the rest would get a letter (or perhaps a postcard if there are quite a few) of inquiry. Of course I would also look at posted inventories at dealer websites, check with my local dealers, and attend any nearby coin shows.

Unless the item is extremely rare, those steps should turn it up within a reasonable time frame. Whether the price would be reasonable is a completely different topic. ;)

    Good luck!

Daggarjon, you can find a lot of numismatic information on www.coins2.com ,but there's still some crap that gets submitted though.

I have started an extensive search on Google for tonight.. all the 1988-a's i find are web-fed .... I got some issues of NN to go thru, and got an appointment to get the latest CN tomorrow to look thru them add's ... One would figure that the note is not at all that old.. so finding one should not be all that hard ... and with millions and millions and billions? of 'A' district printed... well, the odds would have to be favorable for a quick find ;)
