I teach a class annually in Sunday school about Jewish coins to 1st graders. I bring out my Agrippa I with canopy and grain stalks and let them handle it. Some kids are blown away, and some kids are not that interested. The parents are generally more appreciative. I also ask them to compare them to some Lincoln "wheaties." Most of the kids can relate to that. I also show them some Hasmonean coins and explain they were relatives of Judah Maccabee. They can also relate to that since Hanukah is unquestionably their favorite holiday.
