DE 1843 Mexican Silver Coin/Token Help

    I spent about 30 min trying to figure this guy out. I'm fairly certain it's Mexican. Anyone ever seen it before?

    I just researched myself for almost 2 hours and nothing. :(
    I'm thinking Dominican Republic
    The book says LEY FUNDAMENTAL.. fundamental law, if that helps any

    Definitely about the populist 1843 constitution of Mexico. It was removed in favor of the 1824 constitution.

    Yeah... I spent a bit of time on it today. I wanted to recharge and give it another go tomorrow unless someone has any ideas. It's about the size of a colonial 1 real.

    I had one of these some years ago, only mine was holed. It's a proclamation 1 real from Potosi, Bolivia commemorating the 1843 constitution.

    Any time you see that open book design think Peru, Bolivia, Guatemala rather than Mexico.
