Aren't you glad that this is one of the coins that didn't go towards the smelter?

I'm sure that will encourage you to look for more hidden treasure from around the world!

Many Venezuelans who can afford to are moving out of the country.

Great find and sell. I assume you do not yourself collect these coins?? Otherwise you may have been tempted to keep this rather rare gem. Personally, I would prefer a higher grade specimen for keepers, and I would have sold the one you sold. Good luck finding a better one! World coin prices can be rapidly explosive. China, Japan, and Austria along with some British coins are wildly fluctuating. Greenland and some Canadian coins are expensive. Good buys can be found amongst the Euro nations who made all their prior coinage obsolete, and they destroy millions and millions of their past coinage, increasing the value of the obsolete coins!! Witness the Canadian penny/cent. Many many good buys are to be found. Shop till ya fall. And again BigTee44 -- a good find indeed!!
