Searched 3 bankrolls of Nickels today.. check out my picture.. it looks like a STAR but that can't be. It's definetly raised and I can see it with my eye. Theres also evidence of DIE POLISHING in his left (your right) wite-of-the-eye and in his hairline (the die highspots). cool.

other interesting statistics.. in 120 coins searched:

    1941, 1969S, 2 1963's, 2004L&C,2005OIV, 2004LP and only 8 Bison.

I think bank shotgun rolls (non mint rolls) of today will be very cool to collect and store.. 100% of today's nickel rolls will contain a desirable mix of those "non montecello" years..

Sure.. right in the chin, all the splatter is around a big protruding chunk.. that if I look at it in the light a certain way, it looks like a STAR that is between LIBERTY and the DATE on a 2002 montecello nickel. Since there are no stars on a normal 2006 Nickel, I doubt it's any kind of dropped chunk. Its just sorta shaped like a star.

I tried 2 more pictures.. I inlayed one onto the other.. still can't really see in the pic what I see with the lens. I gotta get some equipment for taking these close-ups.. what does anyone use to get these pics?

IMHO, it looks only like an air bubble, which would add no value normally, but could list it on ebay as a Jefferson "Mole" error, lol. But could be wrong.

Now seriously, what are the odds of that, that Jefferson would have a mole, all the way down there? You want to put it on ebay, you want to be at least minimally believable. I'd call it a "Jefferson cleft"...

yeah yeah.. So far I haven't sold or spent anything unusual I've found myself.. unusual to me is grey spots on a mint coin haha. I can't part with them.. it's a sickness.

With all that splatter around it (ewww) I'd think that the die chip broke all up and made the rest of the little surrounding marks. They are all raised. I wish there was a database of Jefferson errors that I could search "chin". Doesn't look like a bubble.. not that I'd be able to recognize the difference.
