    Also from HJB, my first Maesa Sestertius.

    It seems that on the reverse the C from S-C is a double struck letter

    Æ Sestertius, Rome , 218 – 222 AD. Struck under the authority of Elagabalus
    21.00 g;

    RIC IV 414 (Elagabalus); Sear (RCV 2000) 7763; Banti 6; BMCRE 389 (Elagabalus); Cohen 31.

    Ob.: IVLIA MAESA – AVGVS(TA) Draped bust r. wearing stephane, hair waved and turned up low at the back
    Rev.: (PI)ET - AS (AV)G Pietas, veiled, standing l. extending r. hand over altar and holding incense box in l. sprinkling incense from extended r. hand over garlanded and lighted altar and holding open casket of incense in l. hand. S – C across field

    Please share your Maesa Sestertius or anything relevant :)

    I haven't acquired any Julia Maesa sestertius yet, in fact I only have one Maesa coin which is a double struck mint error:
