I really like that bust of Sol type and whenever I see one (like now), I always contemplate putting it on the want list.

Incidentally, the legend on your Galerius follis reads IMP C GAL VAL MAXIMIANVS PF AVG, so is an Augustus issue rather than a Caesar issue. It's RIC VI Heraclea 24b. In any case, nice coin!

Good catch! I need to quit reading vendor attributions and do the hard work myself! Thanks for the catch...I will adjust my records accordingly.

My Constantine binge continues to entertain me without breaking the bank on silver coins.
This one is interesting....I love the helmet and the captive on the right is looking up and saying "Oh man, we are in deep doo-doo".

Constantine I AE Follis. Trier, 320 AD. CONSTANTINVS AVG, helmeted, cuirassed bust right / VIRTVS EXERCIT, two captives seated at the base of a trophy.·PTR in ex. RIC 258.

There's a lot going on on this reverse. Victory on globe, eagle with a wreath and a busy right field....

Like everyone else, I really like the Cons with Sol reverse. One of these days I will get one like it.

The OP coins are fantastic, but this one is my favorite. I love coins that exhibit some artistic license on the part of the engraver. What a great trophy on this one!

I tried to delete one of my double threads this morning but was not up for the task. Hang-over is my excuse (sigh, shame, oh screw it I'm having another beer!)
