I picked up this lot for $17, under silver spot price. It was a BIN and Newly listed pick.

It had this cool 1888 Newfoundland dime. I looked it up and it only had a mintage of 30,000. Any ideas on value?

It is in a little better condition than the pictures, but I didn't want to set up photo equipment.

Clearly, I haven't been spending enough time camping out on the new BIN listings. :) Great pick!

If you don't mind, could you link to the auction? I'm curious how they had it listed, and how long it lasted...

My mistake, it was actually $18. Still under spot price, and I am happy with the Newfoundland 10 cent.

He is the listing, and in the picture I posted I even left out a merc. I swiped it right away, and the listing said nothing about the Newfoundland coin.

Yup, that's the kind of listing I wait to pounce on, too. Seems like I see them a lot less frequently than I used to, though.

I miss the days when newly-listed items would show up in a minute or so, instead of dribbling out in batches and appearing at different times for people in different zones of the Internet. These days, an attractive lot can be sold long before I even have a chance to see it. The flip side, of course, is that I may see a lot before most others get a chance. It's all still the luck of the draw, pretty much.
