    honestly, I don't know :)

The one above last is mine, and for a time I thought it was genuine. Then I saw the last one and not really sure anymore, then I saw more of that type... Notice they both have the fish or wave looking thing on the plow, and octopus? beneath that.

Majority of those believed to be genuine had wings there

I don't think this type was questioned either.

I think best would be to do what doug said, lose interest in this specific type of coins.
Same goes for the apollonia ponticas.

I made a study of the fakes of these for a while with the intention of buying myself a genuine coin but as with others above lost interest in the type due to the large numbers of fakesof the type that made it too much like hard work.

Well, since no one has responded to that, I'll offer my understanding although it may be questionable since I posted the Op photo of my winning bid fake LOL

The consensus seems to be that those examples, like mine, that display those three minimal 'red-flags' are 99-100% fakes...and those that have at least one or two of those characteristics are doubtful and probably fakes---although there's an obvious disagreement appears as to whether only one or more of those 'red-flags is the hallmark of a fake or merely of a variating style of a genuine coin.

The consensus seems to be to purchase these coin types ONLY from Murphy or only those offered that DO NOT display any of the hair/disks or reverse issues. Those that do not are typically high Greek in the portraiture and galley representations----and are pricey, ranging from several hundred or even thousands of dollars; 'mine' was a VF in the $50- $75 range.

So, I am not particularly in the market for a pricey version and I'll put that on my list of things to do at the bottom of my priority list. And, I'll use my Agora 'credit' for a future purchase of another type of coin that grabs my interest,

I have no idea whether the coin Collect89 posted is real or not---but I'd 'guess' it was genuine merely by the exclusion of ALL those red-flags mine displayed. Obviously, I'd run it past Murphy for reassurance.
