Friends, Welcome.... In my Treasure hunt for a million cents so far I have found this one a few years ago.
I posted the pic on a post but someone said the were a bit dark.
So, I retook the pictures again.
I hope this is a real US mint Error.

Is it possible the US mint was experimenting with some new ideas, like they were with the Aluminum Cent?

It a rough DIAMOND shape cut with Ridges running on the side.

Appreciate your view and vote on the coin.

    God Bless
    Beck.
PS: Does someone else found on these, please let me know.

It certainly didn't come from the mint like that.

    Easily done with a vise.

That's an altered US Coin and should have COPY stamped on it.

    Just so folks know.

Uh . . . NO! Still a real, legal tender, US coin. Altered, but still real.

The condition of your coin was, in fact, a result of an experiment, but it was not an experiment conducted by the US Mint.
