Hello, A guy at work who owes me a little bit of money felt kind of guilty that it's been some time since he's paid me back. Knowing that I collect coins he found some world coins he had at home. His wife is from Peru so I think he got a few from her. Also an old worn Buffalo Nickel. These are it Peru - UN SOL - 1933 and 1930 SILVER! Mexico - UN PESO - 1970 Canada - 1 DOLLAR - 1993 (loon) and 1995 Venezuela - DOS BOLIVARES - 1990 Peru - 1/2 SOL DE ORO - 1965 Commemorative Issue Peru - 25 CENTAVOS - 1967
did you realize that the 1933 1 sol mintage is only 5,000 ? KM#218.2 grade/value F-$BV VF-$14.00 XF-$22.50 UNC-$46.00 real life market values may differ from Krause catalog prices. the 1930 mintage is 76,000 grade/value VF-$BV XF-$15.00 UNC-$22.50 real life market values may differ from Krause catalog prices. great collect on the 1933.
I think the mintage for 1930 is supposed to read 50,000 not 5,000. They are way too easy to find for there to have been only 5,000 made. Still a very nice pair of sols
Nice acquisition. The Sol is a beautiful design, like so many Latin American coins of the time. I have a 1915 (90% silver). Dipped, I'm sure, but I don't care.
