Do you think this 1857-O has a chance at XF40 with PCGS

    Here is a great looking 1857-O I picked up a few months back. I had it graded with PCGS a 2 months ago. do you think it has a chance at XF40 is submitted for reconsideration.

    Nope. I bet if you sent it in 10 times, it'd come back VF35 80% of the time and VF30 the other 20%. But, don't do that. Just enjoy it as it is.

    thanks. appreciate the feedback I mainly dwell in world coins so don't know much about US ones. Only have a few graded. I just liked the eye appeal of this one.

    I agree with Rusty - nice coin. I think they got it right also - looks great at VF35.

    No, it is properly graded. I agree--very nice looking coin, with a lot of eye appeal. In terms of surface preservation, they did get it right.
