    image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Hey folks

So I've been reading everything I can find online about what qualifies a Jefferson nickel as full steps. It's really got me confused.
Here is part of the article I've been reading and photos of the coin I'm trying to determine whether or not has full steps.

I believe there is a cut off point for Jeffersons, depending upon date, where full steps are 5 or 6 (for newer issues.) Full steps must have no dings or breaks anywhere to be designated as such. Perhaps someone can place a date to when they went from 5 to six steps?

I would say absolutely. PCGS FS and NGC 6FS in my opinion.

Going by that chart it looks as my coin would be a 5-6-6-6 .
As there is a very small area at the bottom step that blends together above the N.
    What do you guys think?

For the life of me I'll never understand why people/TPG's don't apply this to Lincoln Memorial cents. I'm a freak over this with my Lincoln collection.

Don't feel bad, about half the time the TPGs are confused too :)

Unquestionably FS. It looks like there are two dings on the cheek. If so, that might limit you to 65 FS. Otherwise, I'd say 66 FS.

43 D is very common for FS anyway

It's the lowest-minted War Nickel but for some reason doesn't get the pricing like it is. I know the one my kid has is a 66 going away and probably wouldn't look bad in a 67 holder. FWIW, if it's lucky, it has 1 step.
