Like to get some input on NGC "STAR" coins

    Just wanted to get some info on STAR coins. I just recently came across one and have not seen them before. What years were they made if they are specific to certain years and what does the star mean?

    I hate seeing the star on proof coins that have cameo on one side but not the other. I think it diminishes the significance of the star.

    I agree 100% for post 1950. I think starred Morgans with only a sliver of so-so crescent toning do as well.

    It didn't. The obverse is pretty nice too. I think it could have gone either way.
