Again, searching through some 2015 Homestead P BU rolls and believe I have found some new DDRs. I found a few with some doubling on the top of the pump trailing into third window down on left, with doubling also within third window down on right: One of them also has some doubling on the word HOMESTEAD (most evident on D and E: Are these worth sending in for verification? Seems to be a lot of these varieties popping up though. Thanks, TC
first image looks like a doubled die to me... second image looks like MD if those letters are incused like I suspect they are.
It is very hard to see with the incused lettering. Here is a slightly better image of the notch in the D of HOMESTEAD:
For incused lettering to appear doubled, the lettering will actually appear smaller and distorted rather than larger.
Am I seeing 3D? (pun intended, I see a D at the top and bottom) Originally, I thought I was just seeing double Ds, which is usually not something to scoff at...
I like double D's as well...lol. Something is going on with that D in HOMESTEAD. I found about 6 of that doubled die error with the pump and window (my first pic), but only one had that weird D. It also has several die cracks as well. Looks like a unique coin that I will save for my collection. TC
