Not exactly sure what to grade it myself although either way its very pleasing even with that sort of gunk in the middle (any ideas in what it is welcome) Thanks in advance. Mark.
Nice, XF details for sure. The rim dent, legend gouges and rust or patina around lion do not detract from overall eye appeal.
Thanks guys, I had made the estimate at VF, its details are great ! Kuba, I'm sure you'll remember my other cent, its certainly better than that ! I'm really pleased with it because they seem hard to find in the higher grades and for F I've seen them Sell for over £100 ! "O
I recently acquired a 50 cent piece from the same colony. I really love these coins. They were only minted in 1791 and at a very low mintage level. Any opinion on the grading of this coin? Also, does anyone think it is worth the effort to slab it?
I would hazard at around VF. It's really nice I always keep an eye out for them, up to now I still only have the penny, cent and 10c although for the penny I'm still looking for something around. XF to keep around the grades of the other 2
Great. VF was my opinion too. I hope to collect the other denominations also. Fascinating coins. Thank you.
