I consider the GENIO SENATVS of Pius a bit special due to the fight he had with the Senate over the deification of Hadrian. It turned out that the Senate showed its 'genius' by giving in to Pius' desire.
Genius of Antioch from the Anonymous Pagan issue of that city. GENIO ANTIOCHENI / APOLLONI SANCTO SMA with workshop A - I in field.
that's a great looking genius on your new coin pish! here's my first genius coin, from an uncleaned lot... here's my most recent "genio" coin, with tyche and the river god as the genius of antioch... man, has my photography improved.
Hello friends. I like this thread. This one is a Genio on the reverse of Constantius I. I admit that I couldn't find the letter I to right of reverse, on WildWinds.
Maybe not the genius your looking for but definitely the one you need. Evan was accepted into pre-K @ 2.5 yrs old. School administrators believe he is smarter than the average bear.
...but does he collect ancient coins? It is way too much to expect Wildwinds etc. to have all of the workshops. Mine is E=5; yours I=10; RIC 53A allows ten officinae choices for this C2 common coin. Good work!
