LOL he bought them off an old lady whos collected for years. What kind of a collector, who from the sounds of it is a serious collector (even though we all know really doesn't exist). Stores their coins like this? "Well time to roll these wheaties, wait. Looks like a couple of gold pieces fell in. Oh well I'll just leave them there."

    My bad. Yes, quarter eagles.

Provided...........the coins are authentic. Melt value is $143 each and the reverses could render then junk. Why else load them into a roll of cents? I mean, really, what collector that has an accumulation of coins, rolls quarter eagles into a cent roll?

Put together to hook the fish and it looks like he hooked one. ay $690!

I'd say the chances of those "unsearched" rolls on ebay truly being unsearched, are as close to zero as mathematically possible.

Apparently there are plenty of people who are willing to believe that the gold pieces just happened to get mixed in. Why even bother with a more sophisticated scam if there are suckers willing to bite on something like this?

Albert Einstein once said that there only two things that are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and that he still wasn't sure about the first one...

Looks like the feds could bust them for deceptive practices in interstate commerce; eBay too for allowing it to go on. It has all the appearances of fraud.
