I'm big on the following.... Morgan Dollars Peace Dollars Jefferson Nickels (Proof) Ike Dollars (Proof) Kennedy Halfs (Proof) I seem to like the bigger coins... No disrespect to the smaller series(look I like the Nickel), I just like the bigger designs and the feel of the bigger coin in my hand... Feels like you actually have something.....
I like the Franklins as my favorite I'm collecting. I just like the clean design and the fact it is the last completely silver set.
Mercury dimes, Walking Liberty half, the Standing Liberty quarter, and the Buffalo nickel are my favorite US coins. I don't care for the Morgan or the Seated Liberty coins - not my cup of tea. -Steve
I've always liked the Indian Pennies and Buffalo Nickels. However, I'll take the Peace Dollar over Morgans anyday....
I have to specify ... Jefferson Nickels is my favorite US coin series, I do have other sets, but the Jefferson was my first coin that I studied which gave me the tools to use in coin collecting and the lessons learned were fairly inexpensive. I also like Buffalo Nickels & Franklin Halves as far as set building goes. I also continue to work on a US type coin set.
I think the St Gaudens golds are amazing, but the flying eagle cent is simple and amazing. How Lincolns have run for so many years but flying eagles were only for a few is beyond me.
I selected mercs out of the coins listed but they are actually third behind barber coins and braided hair cents.
