I know this is a counterfiet coin. Its a crying shame that people still bid rediculous amounts of money on these things. Ebay item#180105590727. 16 hours to go, Im going to report it to Ebay.

It's hard to tell from the pics, but the mint mark (on the morgan) looks a little funny.

I just noticed, the auction says trade dollar, but the coin does not.
fake or not, it's a seated dollar.

That is a very ugly coin.

Hopefully they pull it in time.

It sounds like that braindead vendor needs to be NARU'd off eBay & closed down. These scammers are becoming more brazen in their peddling tactics.

A few years ago I got back into collecting coins. My first purchase, a 1872 seated dollar in VF. Being out of the hobby for many years I did not brush up on my collecting skills and guess what? My 1872 dollar was a fake! A $117 mistake nearly drove me back out of the hobby. Well, I learned my lesson. I bought a few books on counterfiet coins and brushed up on most everything to do with the hobby.

Buy the book before you buy the coin? The best advise in the collecting world!

I still have the coin. I keep it as a reminder.
It reminds me not to open my wallet unless I know what I'm buying!

this seller lists a lot of stuff, and has 99.8% positive rating. Some stuff is accurately graded, but he stretches a bit too.

Ike dollar really has no value, maybe $1.50 in circulated, AU seems really high to me on this, but I can't grade them circulated, I'd say EF is high, hard to find a worse looking one than this

Everything is " a nice find" wether its a good bison reverse nickel,an AG Barber dime, an AU 64 quarter, etc.
