I've got one from the same die, plated though.

Yeah, I found it roll searching, looked silver, but was plated with nickel or chrome.

 

Guessing it was someone's science project.

 

Let me guess! It's a '99-P.

I have a die crack progression of the '99-P GA SQ's. There are 6 separate coins which show the growth of 5 different cracks as they get longer from continued striking.

Just out of curiosity, does your coin have a kidney-shaped raised area on Washington's neck?

I'll check the one I have for the area on Washington's neck when I get home.

 

May have been platinum. There were a lot of SQ's that got the gold and platinum plating. Nice die cracks.

 

Yes to the P, no lumps though.
