got this one in today, there's no mint mark but i really like the smooth surfaces and the strong strike, i tried matching it up on WildWinds via pics and only found 1 that matched the profile an veil and the horses on reverse, it could be wrong but heres my best guess..
Constantine AE4. Memorial issue struck 337-40 AD. DV CONSTANTINVS PT AVGG, veiled head right / Emperor veiled in quadriga right, horses rearing up, hand of God reaching down to him. Mintmark SMH and officina letter (A, B, gamma and epsilon known).
RIC VIII Heraclea 14; cf Sear 3889.

    Divus Constantine AE3/4. 337-340 AD. 15mm, 1.5g

OBV: DV CONSTANTINVS PF AVGG, Veiled head right.

REV: Constantine in quadriga right, the hand of God, upper center, grasping the chariot, CONS in ex.

    REF: RIC VIII Constantinopolis 37

That's a pretty nice OP coin except I can't really tell it's from Heraclea or not. Not saying it's not, just because the mintmark is off of the flan.

A terrible specimen I own suggests to me you are right about Heraclea. Notice even that the E officina letter is clearly higher than the rest of the mintmark and shows on your coin. Not all mints used a five finger hand and the portrait is similar. I do not know these well enough to say you are right but I'd say it is a good guess, at least.

i suspected that was the officina letter showing on mine and after seeing your example, im a little more convinced that it is...

It's a lovely example of the type, Ken, the absence of the mint mark not withstanding. These issues really should have been bigger - a quadriga on an AE4 is a bit too much device for such a small coin. Often you have to choose between the hand and the mint mark.

    chrsmat71 I LIKE TURTLES!

the surfaces and details and that coin are super sweet ken.

here's my only one, had a mint mark and is pretty well centered, but details and surfaces are much less sweet.

but another uncleaned lot coin, so considering, not to shabby.

Great new OP addition!! (I love the quadriga => but man, the Hand of God really stands-out, which makes it look extremely cool)
