Would you believe these pictures are of the same coin? I'm afraid it's condition is lacking somewhat compared to when it was initially purchased in 2002. Sadly, there are a few smudges from mishandling. #1. #2.
did u take these pictures? It would seem the fabric on the background is the same, but the colors like 'off' from each other. Have the pictures been altered? maybe different lighting? or maybe the background fabric has faded?
Oh, yes, I forgot to mention. The first picture is in shaded light and I've switched off the auto-focus on the camera. The 2nd picture is in direct light with auto-focus on. Ben
Judging by the appearance of the bag marks behind the neck, the second method results in a more accurate view of the coin. The color is also more what I would expect. If that luster on the reverse is real, it's another benefit of the lighting/focus change. :thumb:
This is one of the first coins I ever cracked out of a holder and in doing so I dropped the darn thing...
Ouch! That had to hurt when you dropped it. Explains a lot sadly. Still, she is a nice looking coin. :thumb: You have some very nice gold, Bone. :thumb: Phoenix
What holder was it in? It looks like there are some patches of hairlines on the bottom of both the obverse and reverse. The bottom picture definitely looks to be the better representation of the coin.
