Just bought my first Wheat Cent....

    Joe, I see the area you're looking at, it's right off his chin. Honestly, I don't know how that happens, but we have old silver that's toned like that, and I'll swear to you guys, nobody abused it. It's patchy, smooth as a close shave. Don't know what does it, but I'm good with it.

    Sorry about being a bit critical about the vdb, you are right, could be the photos.

    I just received the '09 V.D.B. in the mail. The color is dead on. There is a flaw on his head, which looks like it's from a weak strike as mentioned earlier. It's either striations from the planchet as it was being rolled out, or a flaw in the planchet. There is also a divit in his forehead that looks like a bullet hole (very creepy). I'll get some photo's of it as soon as I can. For now, I'll highlight them in the seller's images. Which I must say are very accurate, I'm very confident in purchasing from them in the future.
