Diocletian AE Follis. Londinium mint, ca 298-300 AD. 10g, 28.18mm OBV: IMP C DIOCLETIANVS P F AVG, laureate & cuirassed bust right. REV: GENIO POPV-LI ROMANI, Genius standing left, holding patera in extended right hand & cradling cornucopiae in left arm. No mintmark. REF: RIC VI Londinium 6A. In case anyone was wondering what my old scanner photo used to look like.
Much improved. The scanner image is completely flat and the surface looks gritty. Your photograph definitely shows more visual information. The coin appears smooth with nice details.
It truly is doubly rewarding as soon as you ditch the scanner. lol But don't get me wrong, it did help me for awhile.
Without a doubt, much better! That portrait is wonderful in your new image. Ho-hum in the scanner version.
I used a scanner for years. My move to a camera has provided varied results and took me years to get to a stage where I has happy with my results. This new image is a great improvement. Well done.
