Martin is indeed a man of few words---but those few say so much!!

And, I love all the posts, from Pish's OP through all the rest!!

    I don't seem to have any Alexandria's of Licinius or the others---mostly Heraclea...and a "K" (Carthage) I forgot I had of Maximianus....and a Nicomedia of Galerius....

Well, it's a poor photo since it is evening here and the ambient light always gives me problems...and I thought at first it was an Alexandria, but the styling and mintmarks seem to indicate something else----A follis of Maxentius, presumably of Siscia, with a cool temple reverse:

Thanks, Martin... My Zanders book didn't seem to list it as Rome, but I must have misread it there as well----mistaking the 'R' for an 'A'...What else is new??? LOL

The letters under your Temple---but I can't make them out.....Mine read R (ROME) and M, with an S (Secunda?)---for the workshop in Latin letter (Damn bifocals LOL).

Probably an R and a workshop 'Letter' in 'exergue.' Martin or one of the others will clarify it shortly.

Since I just returned from some chores and noticed no one else has responded and I found my Zander Klawans paperback of 'Ancient Greek and Roman' coins, I'll explain a bit of what I once knew LOL

Rome is listed as R, RM (like mine), ROMA, and URBS ROM...and the workshop letters usually follow as the S in mine for Secunda or Second workshop...they can also be Greek letters for the same numbers as A for alpha(ONE) or B, Beta for two and so on.....and this all started about the middle of the third century AD, so earlier types are distinguished differently.

This little paperback also lists the coins and explains the reverses and the abbreviated inscriptions---a very handy and convenient tool and should only cost about $15.00 or just a bit more than mine did many years ago.

Here's the key to reading Roman coins: A=R, H=A.

I think there's little doubt, in view of what I, Klawans and JA mention that it is an R for Rome and a P for Prima or workshop one....
