    REV: Persian king standing right slaying a lion standing left "O" between

    REF: Unlisted

    I realize the coin is dark, but it is that dark in hand. I just reshot the coin and added it to the Tantalus site.

    Post Phoenicia, galley coins if you so wish.

    Yeah, that's hilarious lol. I remember you saying you liked this coin for the price. I actually had this coin on my wish list for awhile but it wasn't in that store for too long a time.

    BTW, the coin should be listed in HGC Vol. 10 - I'll look it up later tonight.

    You looked it up the last time. Valentinian has as well. Thing is that these coins are in a few books and they attribute them differently. In Sear I think it's 1/32 Shekel, in others it's 1/16 and the weights seem to vary.

    Obverse: two hoplites with shields in war galley sailing left (roaring lion’s head on prow), hippocamp swimming left below (N O in field)
    Reverse: Phoenician inscription; Lion attacking bull, left
