Thanks to everyone associated with the upkeep/maintance of CoinTalk.Recently I learned from the Net that the 1916 Nickel DDO is worth a considerable amount of money in high grade. About 4 months ago I had brought a bag full of them.Not knowing about the 1916 etc I spent a bunch of them that had (no dates). I ran to the bank vault and found one 1915.The folks that sold it me thought it a 1915 they even wrote that on the envelope its in.But when I first saw it, I saw 1916. For 2-3 days I have taken pic. And I cant upload all images due to change in my internet connectivity issues.I also possibly can't reply to everyone that answers the post.I do appreciate your patience and understanding.I do not have unlimited interent access and time when I can use it is ...just a couple or 3 times a week ( Brand New Lap HP ). 1. Very possible over Date 1915 over 1916. 2. DDO 3.DDR 4 Some errors on the way the coin rims are attaching to the rest of the front and back plates.Possibley worth something when this old. 5. Lots areas where numbers and dye clash possible. 6.The open eye caught my attention,most of the time the Eye of Indian looks closed or looking downwards.Not starring straight ahead. 7.A DDR of this year is to my knowledge is Unkown and Unlisted. So it just might be a cool discovery. I also learned from a post on this forum that the doubling on the Nickels DDO or DDR is very Subtle and only an Certified Expert in the field can say Ya or Nay. Sorry, but I can't see anything in those photos. Perhaps clearer pictures would help, but realize that Buffalo die clashes are VERY common. I do see something in the last photo, on the EPU and possibly AMERICA, but need clearer pictures to be sure that it is not just the camera's movement
See from left to right thumnails . The sixth pic of the closeup is from the 5th pic . Its only a closeup of the pic itself.The camera is steady.
